Position Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and skilled lifeguard to ensure the safety of individuals at our day club. The ideal candidate will be responsible for actively monitoring swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies. This position requires strong swimming abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain constant surveillance of the swimming area to ensure the safety of all patrons
Identify and address any potential hazards or unsafe conditions
Enforce facility rules and regulations to promote a safe and positive environment
Provide guidance and education to patrons on proper water safety behavior
Respond quickly and effectively to all emergency situations
Perform rescues and administer first aid as needed
Contact emergency medical services and provide assistance until they arrive
Communicate clearly and professionally with patrons, colleagues, and management
Provide clear instructions during emergency situations
Inspect and maintain all lifeguard equipment regularly
Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate authorities
Attend and participate in regular training sessions and drills
Stay current on lifeguarding techniques, first aid, and CPR/AED certification
Interact with patrons in a friendly and approachable manner
Assist with inquiries and provide information about facility services
Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 16 years of age.
Current lifeguard certification from a recognized training program
CPR/AED, FAID, and LIFE certifications
Strong swimming skills and endurance
Excellent observational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in high‑stress situations
Physical fitness and ability to perform rescues and other emergency procedures
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
Work in a fast‑paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment with high call volume
Lifeguards who meet key eligibility criteria will be eligible to receive a monthly $100.00 retention bonus following completion of the Company’s Introductory Period.
Lifeguards will be eligible for reimbursement of required certifications following successful completion of the Company’s Introductory Period.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
