Carlie C's IGA
Carlie C's IGA is seeking an experienced butcher to fill an immediate opening. Only candidates with prior experience in all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken in a grocery store meat market environment will be considered.
The ideal candidate is proficient in using band saws, slicers, cubers, grinders, and knives to cut all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken. Wrapping skills are also required, as well as maintaining all sanitation and safety requirements. This is a full‑time position with optional company benefits. The candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week that will include weekend work and most holidays.
Responsibilities
Cutting, grinding, slicing, trimming, weighing, sealing, packaging and labeling product. Unload trucks and store products in the proper location. Check product dates and rotate stock properly. Sanitize and clean equipment. Keep meat department floors clean of clutter. Assist customers in finding products and wait at the counter timely and cheerfully. Qualifications
Must be able to lift 80 lbs with no assistance. Must be at least 18 years of age, friendly, outgoing, and neat and clean in appearance. Must enjoy working with the public. Must be very customer oriented. Must be able to read shelf tags, labels and signs. Must have a good work record as a butcher. Seniority level
