Body Shop Technician
Transdev North America – Irvine, CA
Transdev is seeking a Body Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, as well as perform detailed body and paint work on a variety of vehicles and equipment. The role plays a critical part in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
Independently perform painting and body repair work on vehicles at a highly specialized, skilled level; estimate extent of damage and repair costs.
Maintain and repair flooring.
Estimate body damage and repair costs.
Fit and replace panels, repair body dents and scratches.
Fabricate new seat covering and repair/replace damaged seats, including belts and other seat attachments.
Replace damaged windows, mirrors, and other glass.
May provide emergency road service and conduct road tests.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Accurately diagnose and repair a variety of body and interior damage without guidance.
Knowledge of body repair methods.
Skill in welding equipment use.
Skill in painting, sanding, and buffing equipment.
Read, write, and perform basic math skills.
Perform written estimates.
Read, understand, and follow manuals safely.
Pass and maintain two Collision Repair and Refinish (B2-B5) Automotive Service Excellence Certification (ASE).
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical (if applicable). DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
