The Count Team Member The Count Team Member is responsible for safeguarding casino assets at all times and performing transactions that keep the count room operating effectively. The role includes training and directing count room cashiers and assisting guests in every way possible to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Operate the count room effectively, including training and directing count room cashiers, ensuring the room has all required supplies, and managing crew members’ break times.
Oversee all paperwork and reports generated by the count room; analyze for variances, investigate variances, and provide daily communication, records, and reports to management.
Adhere to departmental procedures, internal controls, and all gaming procedures, counting, sorting and strapping money by denomination.
Operate the computer system effectively, generating master gaming reports and delivering all information properly. Input slot machine information into the computer system.
Utilize math skills to add, subtract and multiply printouts to gather totals.
Motion drop boxes properly to ensure camera coverage; load and unload drop boxes from trolley cart storage. Perform all post‑drop functions and process funds as per procedures.
Communicate clearly and loudly to ensure surveillance and other crew members hear/see that procedures are being followed. Provide follow‑up communication to other departments (e.g. Accounting, Slots) as required.
Comply with all internal controls, company and departmental policies and procedures, and safety regulations.
Be prepared to perform duties outside of normal job description where necessary for efficiency, productivity or improved guest service.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Louisiana Gaming License.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays.
