Master Technician 1 (Night Shift)
Location: Bowling Green, KY
Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am on a 2/2/3 schedule (every other weekend)
Pay: $30.90 per hour (starting)

About the Position Master Technicians are responsible for operating and maintaining injection and/or blow molding machines, ensuring employee safety, producing high‑quality containers, and maximizing machine efficiency.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a group of plastic blow molding/injection machines and auxiliary equipment at identified optimal performance, including mold insert and color changes.
Perform process setup and establish setup sheets for injection and stretch blow molding machines.
Operate equipment to minimize regrind, purge and scrap while meeting customer specifications.
Conduct on‑time quality checks and adjust production as needed.
Execute regular preventative maintenance checks and maintain documentation.
Perform minor repairs on production equipment such as case sealers, trimmers, blow molder extruders, conveyor systems, and material loading/unloading.
Assist with installation, programming, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment (conveyor, hydraulic, pneumatic, compressors, chillers, dryers, auto‑packers, robots, programmable controllers).
Perform trial runs on new molds, tooling, resins, and color concentrates.
Carry out tasks with minimal supervision in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain work area to safety and housekeeping standards.
Verify material usage and properly identify regrind and chunk produced.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications To perform the job successfully, candidates must be able to perform essential duties independently or with minimal assistance. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Formal training in a mechanical or electrical related field (preferred).
Minimum 6 months of experience operating or maintaining blow molding/injection molding machines or similar equipment.
Experience with electrical systems.
Understanding and operation of PLCs (preferred) or willingness to obtain training.
Working knowledge of HDPE and/or PET technologies preferred; direct experience with blow molding on any platform preferred.
Must be able to become an “Electrically Authorized” employee per corporate Electrical Safety Training Program.
Computer usage and typing skills essential.
Compensation and Benefits Pay is based on experience, with an hourly rate of $30.90. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
