Job Title LiFEsports Student Assistant

Responsibilities Responsibilities are basic and routine in nature. This may include performing administrative duties in an office, assisting in a research laboratory, aiding faculty/staff in supporting academic programs or patient care. Duties will be clear and direct. The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.

Additional Information The College of Social Work at The Ohio State University seeks hourly part‑time student assistants to support research on the implementation of the LiFEsports program on campus and in community‑based sites in Columbus. Under the supervision of Joe Ingram III (staff in LiFEsports, a center within the College of Social Work) the student assistants will collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary and community‑engaged team conducting outreach projects focused on life skill development through sport. The outreach assistants will assist with program planning, program implementation, and program evaluation. Other duties of this role may include conducting literature reviews, assisting with grant writing activities, attending meetings with team members and partners, and other duties as assigned. This position is an hourly part‑time (5 hours per week) position, with funding for 3 months. The duration of this position is contingent upon performance and approval of ongoing external funding.

Required Experience

Enrollment in Bachelor’s degree /equivalent required.

Microsoft Office proficiency is required.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
