Job Title: Nutrition Aide Department: University Hospital | Food Service Administration

Job Description Provides direct meal and nourishment service to patients. Communicates with patients for alternate selections when needed. Requires knowledge of dietetic standards and ability to interact with patient care staff regarding special diet orders. Position requires interactions with a variety of patients, visitors and staff members so that the patient care requirements are met. Maintains patient kitchen supplies, and follows sanitation procedures, transports tray carts to and from patient kitchens, and provides customer service to patients, visitors and staff. Utilizes appropriate communication skills. Position located at University Hospitals.

Minimum Education Required Per Classified Civil Svc Specs

Required Qualifications

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers;

able to read and write simple sentences;

1 course or 1 month exp. in food service;

1 course or 1 month experience in public relations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
