Personal Landscapes: Celebrating Artists with Disabilities

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION Personal Landscapes brings together artworks that reflect the stories, perspectives, and experiences that shape each artist’s creative world. By centering the voices of artists with disabilities, the exhibition highlights the many ways art fosters connection, visibility, and belonging. We invite submissions that explore how creativity expresses identity, community, resilience, and personal meaning.
THEME PROMPT Artists are encouraged to respond to the theme Personal Landscapes in whatever way feels most authentic. Possible directions include:
Personal stories or memories
Emotions or inner landscapes
Identities and relationships
Places, environments, or community connections
Ideas, movements, or moments that shape artistic expression
Artists may also explore how their creative work embodies the ways they navigate daily life, connect with others, or make meaning in their communities.
There is no right or wrong interpretation.
DEADLINE Submission Deadline: February 16, 2026
ARTWORK DROP-OFF Location: Spark Central 1214 W. Summit Parkway, Spokane, WA 99201
Eligibility Artists of all abilities, ages 16+, who identify as having a disability are welcome to submit.
ACCEPTED MEDIUMS All mediums are welcome, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, poetry, sequential art, video, or music.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Please complete one submission form per artwork. Artists will be asked to provide: Artist Name, Artwork Title, Medium, Size, Price (if the piece is for sale).
