Your Role As Centre Cook, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, healthy environment through food. You will:

Plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks

Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑stocked kitchen

Order supplies and manage inventoryCommunicate with educators to meet dietary needs

Support the centre’s mealtime routines and assist where needed

Be open to learning more about nutrition for different age groups, especially infants

About You You are passionate about creating food with purpose and care.

You have:

A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or happy to obtain once employed)

Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and allergy management

A practical understanding of food budgeting and planning

Cooking experience in early childhood settings (desirable but not essential)

A commitment to supporting children’s growth, development, and wellbeing through food
