Anticipated Opening: Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Spanish/Business (Middle School)
Location: McClure Junior High School
Western Springs School District 101 is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher to teach Spanish (5 sections) and Business/Entrepreneurship (1 section) at the middle school level. This position will cover a leave of absence and is expected to run from January 26, 2026 through March 12, 2026.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering engaging instruction in middle school Spanish and introductory Business concepts.
Following established curriculum, lesson plans, and pacing guides.
Creating a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
Assessing student progress and providing feedback as appropriate.
Collaborating with grade-level teams and support staff.
Maintaining clear communication with students, staff, and administration.
Qualifications:
Professional Educator License with middle school endorsement or Substitute Teacher license.
Experience working with middle school students preferred.
Background or coursework in Spanish and/or Business strongly preferred.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Additional Information: This is a full-time, temporary position for the duration of the assignment.
Compensation: $170/Day.
