Direct Support Professional - Olean - Full Time- Various
Direct Support Professional (DSP) role enhances quality of life for people with developmental disabilities by assisting, instructing, and supporting individuals living in our residences to be as independent as possible. Promote the health, safety and well-being of the individuals while building positive, meaningful relationships. Advocate for individuals in our residences to communicate their wants/needs, and integrate them into the community for recreation. Perform light housekeeping, help plan nutritious meals, and administer medications as needed. Participate in regularly scheduled trainings to enhance skills and knowledge to continue to support the individuals in the best way possible.

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you get to enhance quality of life for people with developmental disabilities by assisting, instructing, and supporting individuals living in our residences to be as independent as possible. Promote the health, safety and well-being of the individuals while building positive, meaningful relationships. Advocate for individuals in our residences to communicate their wants/needs, and integrate them into the community for recreation. Perform various tasks to promote a well-rounded environment by doing light housekeeping, helping individuals plan nutritious meals, and administering medications as needed. Participate in regularly scheduled trainings to enhance skills and knowledge to continue to support the individuals in the best way possible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
Ability to perform all job functions
Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Be a positive role model for people with disabilities and other staff.
SALARY:
$16.96 per hour starting rate
Days, Evenings and Nights available.
