Job Description Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing janitorial and other duties. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques is essential.
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, tables and refrigerators in break rooms.
Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles inside and out as necessary.
Lifting 30 pounds repeatedly.
Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture when appropriate.
Cleaning windowsills and windows.
Maintain janitor area in a clean, organized and safe manner.
Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment as required at all times.
Maintain closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
Restocking PPE and gowning room supplies daily.
Take PPE supplies from warehouse and organize in storage area.
Break down corrugate and prepare it for recycling.
Maintain and document waste & recycle metrics for EHS.
Inventory counts for expensed items.
Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require the employee to wear safety equipment or gear.
Other tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good customer service skills.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to work effectively and independently.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn.
Working Hours:
8:00am - 4:30pm
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Six months or more related experience.
