Claiborne Senior Living, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook (CKO) to join our team in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The Cook will be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious and attractive meals for our senior residents in a timely and professional manner. This is a part-time, hourly food service job and the successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the health and satisfaction of our residents.

Responsibilities:
Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and residents' preferences
Ensure high quality and appropriate portion sizes for all meals
As Shift Lead, ensure service standards are met and all assigned duties are completed by department staff
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and cooking equipment
Monitor and record food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies
Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper food temperature
Collaborate with dietary team to plan menus and special events
Attend and participate in staff meetings and training
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
Active ServSafe Food Manager certification or willingness to acquire certification within 30 days of hire
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling techniques
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow detailed recipes and dietary requirements
Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
Ability to lift 50 lb on a regular basis
