Mentor High School Students with Minds Matter NYC!
For over 30 years, Minds Matter NYC has connected driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world. Volunteer with Minds Matter NYC and help low-income students achieve their college dreams.
Responsibilities
Mentors
– Share insight from your own college and career journey, while also providing vital support and encouragement to your student through a three-year curriculum. Time Commitment : 11 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturdays (with the exception of school breaks and holidays), for three academic school years
Writing Advisors
– Help students develop their voice, make an argument using supporting evidence, and learn to be critical readers, ultimately developing strong personal narratives for college applications. Time Commitment : 12 PM to 2 PM on Saturdays (with the exception of school breaks and holidays), for three academic school years

Requirements Age Minimum (with Adult): 21+, Minimum Age: 21+
