Job Purpose The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses for the guests and members. The ideal candidate can handle working in a bustling, fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine
Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes
Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machine
Unload dishes and utensils from dish machine and organize them properly
Setup or break down dishwashing area
Sweep/mop floors
Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed
Perform additional cleaning duties as requested
Clean food prep stations equipment
Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen like coffee makers, pots and pans, mixers, etc.
Take out trash and rinse garbage cans
Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
Qualifications
Positive interpersonal skills required
Ability to understand and follow directions
Work effectively with kitchen staff
High School diploma or GED
Working Conditions
Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs
Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to place cases, pans, utensils, and plates on low and high shelves
Ability to work in hot and damp environments
