Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused
Box Truck Driver
to transport materials between our warehouse locations. This role includes loading and unloading the truck, scanning materials into inventory systems, and working closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate a box truck to transport materials between warehouse facilities.
Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
Verify and scan all materials into the warehouse inventory system upon delivery.
Ensure materials are properly secured and protected during transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Communicate with warehouse teams regarding material pickups, deliveries, and inventory.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Assist in the warehouse as needed when not driving.
Creating BOL’s documentation for all load movements and printing reports for inventory related to movements to and from warehouses.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
MVR will be required to be run annually.
Previous experience driving a box truck preferred.
Experience with warehouse operations and scanning/inventory systems is a plus.
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of safe loading and unloading practices.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Environment Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing facility where noise levels may be high and temperatures uncontrolled. Some duties may be performed in an office setting for administrative work.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in various warehouse environments.
Position Type / Hours of Work Full-time, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Monday - Friday; flexibility required for shift coverage, overtime, and on-call availability as needed to meet production and maintenance demands.
Travel Minimal travel required.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle preferred.
Experience in warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
Familiarity with inventory systems and handheld scanners preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.
