Toddler Program Lead Teacher!
We're looking for someone who's nurturing, energetic, and committed to creating a positive, safe, and enriching environment for toddlers.
Duties
Deliver high-quality care and early education aligned with the YMCA's values:
honesty, respect, responsibility and caring
Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities-arts & crafts, music, storytelling, outdoor play, and more
Support positive behavior and foster social-emotional growth
Supervise daily routines like meals, free play, and playground time
Build strong, positive relationships with families and conduct regular parent-teacher conferences
Maintain accurate classroom and program records
Participate in staff meetings, training, and family engagement events
Requirements
At least
18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent required
CDA credential
or a related college degree
Completion of
DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2)
6 months to 1 year
of preschool teaching experience
Able to lift up to 40lbs and actively engage with children both indoors and outdoors
Perks & Pay Full-time, $16.00-$21.00/hour, based on experience. Health insurance & paid time off, 75% discount on preschool tuition, free before/after school care for school-age kids, household access to YMCA wellness centers, employer-paid retirement fund.
