Are you an experienced Deckhand with a passion for the ocean and a meticulous eye for detail? A private owner based in Paradise Point is seeking a dedicated full-time Deckhand to maintain and operate a stunning fleet of luxury vessels.
This is not your average Deckhand role — you’ll be working with a diverse range of high-end vessels including:
A 100-foot Horizon superyacht and Zodiac tender
A 70-foot Sunreef sailing catamaran and Smuggler tender
A 50-foot racing catamaran
A 29-foot Mako centre console
Three jet skis and associated marine equipment
This role includes time at sea, with opportunities for extended travel both within Australia and internationally.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Deckhand duties across all vessels, predominantly sailing
Performing thorough exterior washdowns across all vessels
Waxing exterior surfaces and polishing stainless‑steel fittings
Cleaning, treating, and maintaining teak decking surfaces
Washing, polishing, and maintaining all external glass
Conducting regular engine room cleaning
Flushing outboard motors and ensuring proper care of jet skis and tenders
Maintaining and troubleshooting auxiliary systems including: Water purification units, Air conditioning, Satellite navigation, Generators and other electrical/mechanical systems
Keeping detailed maintenance logs and scheduling required services or trades
Coordinating and oversight of external trades for specialised repairs and servicing
Ensuring vessels are safe, operational and always ready for use
Assisting with vessel refits and yard maintenance work
This role requires a high level of care, precision, and accountability to ensure all vessels always remain in immaculate condition.
What We’re Looking For:
A self‑motivated individual who takes pride in their work
Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently
Previous detailing experience (preferred but not essential)
A valid Boat Licence (desirable) and Australian Driver’s Licence
Experience on or around yachts, with a genuine love for the ocean
