Responsibilities Plans and implements the daily educational tutoring curriculum, using established/recommended tutoring curricula from project administrators and/or supervisor. Implements, coordinates and oversees the implementation of the educational tutoring curriculum in the after school and summer programs. Follows all established curriculum guidelines, timelines, data collection and any other stipulations and requirements of grant that funds the academic component of the program. Assesses the individual academic needs, interests, and abilities of the children in the program and adapts educational curriculum/tutoring to meet them. Establishes individual assessment and tutoring plans for each participant as directed by grant requirements. Maintains program data, written records and reports on individual children as needed and as required by the YMCA and project funding sources. Prepares site daily for arrival of children; maintains organization of site throughout program time; cleans up space at conclusion of program following the COVID related virus control policies. Recommends purchase of instructional materials and teaching aids to supervisor such as books, software, and educational supplies designed to stimulate learning. Ensures compliance with all TANF funding requirements and YMCA quality standards, CACFP and ODJFS licensing requirements. Maintains regular communication regarding each participants behavioral and academic progress with appropriate participants classroom teachers, other school & program staff, and students families; recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behavior and encouraging learning experiences. Attends all staff meetings, appropriate child care workshops, appropriate specialized trainings and safety trainings. Maintains required training hours. Maintains positive and professional relationships and cooperates with appropriate participants school staff, YMCA staff, youth, families, and community.
