Job Responsibilities:
Serves as the first point of contact to personally greet all customers and valet park vehicles.
Provides administrative support to the Prairieview Administrator.
Provides a safe and secure environment as a First Responder in all areas of The Garlands’ community.
Serves as liaison between The Garlands and emergency personnel, including the fire department, paramedics and 911. Respond to medical emergencies by taking appropriate and immediate action to assist the individual(s) in distress.
Each morning, sort and mark members' newspapers; call CNA staff when papers are ready for distribution to the members prior to 10AM.
Update newspaper distribution list when family members advise of change of status.
Sort daily mail into the mail cart for CNA delivery to the members.
Responsible for unlocking and locking Art Room.
On a daily basis, with information from the PV DON, prepare 1) a room census, 2) an alpha census, and 3) a PV statistics sheet; and every M,W,F, prepare a Medicare census. E-mail each census to the appropriate staff list.
E-mail all Prairieview family members a monthly list of upcoming doctor’s visits.
Issue dental, podiatrist, and audiologist sign-up sheets to each Prairieview unit; collect sign-up sheets near visit dates: transmit info to doctors and publish appointment schedules to each unit before the doctor’s visit.
Answer the Prairieview garage Stentofon for Advocate Medical Group and direct their patients to the appropriate parking spaces and elevators to their offices.
Certified in using the AED & performing CPR. (required training provided)
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven strong customer service skills.
Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience and understanding.
Excellent communication skills, phone etiquette, attention to detail.
Must be well organized with the ability to handle a variety of responsibilities and changing priorities, while maintaining an upbeat, customer focus.
Knowledge of word processing, minimum of 40 wpm required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to walk and stand continuously.
