About the Role Manage, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of Environmental Services, Linen, Laundry, and Janitorial Departments. Ensure the environment is sanitary, attractive, and safe while complying with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Collaborate with department managers, clinical staff, and other personnel to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Ability to plan, supervise, and evaluate departmental functions and staff.

Develop succession plans and mentor staff for leadership roles.

Implement performance improvement initiatives across departments.

Lead cross-functional projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Accountability

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and manage budgets effectively.

Track and report departmental KPIs to senior leadership.

Ensure timely completion of audits and compliance checks.

Maintain accurate documentation for all operational activities.

Communication & Collaboration

Provide clear expectations and work collaboratively with other departments.

Facilitate regular team meetings to share updates and resolve issues.

Build strong relationships with clinical and non-clinical teams.

Communicate organizational changes effectively to staff.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure adherence to OSHA, CMS, and infection control standards.

Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to safety standards.

Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and implement them.

Coordinate with infection control teams for compliance reviews.

Adaptability

Ability to manage change and respond to evolving organizational needs.

Adjust staffing plans during emergencies or high census periods.

Implement new technologies to improve cleaning and laundry processes.

Respond quickly to feedback and make operational adjustments.

Professionalism & Ethics

Conduct oneself in a manner that reflects positively on the organization and maintains confidentiality.

Promote a culture of respect and confidentiality among staff.

Ensure ethical decision-making in resource allocation.

Represent the organization positively in community interactions.

Safety Management

Promote and enforce safety practices for staff and patients.

Develop and enforce safety protocols for hazardous materials handling.

Provide regular safety training and drills for staff.

Investigate and resolve safety incidents promptly.

Education High school graduate or GED

Responsibilities

Supervise Environmental Services and Laundry operations.

Inspect facilities regularly and recommend repairs.

Perform environmental surveillance and safety audits.

Manage departmental budgets and cost containment.

Develop and update policies, procedures, and cleaning schedules.

Provide staff training and evaluate performance.

Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
