Position Overview: Game Day Official Join our team as a

Weekend Official

for i9 Sports! We are looking for energetic, reliable individuals to officiate youth games, engage with players, and help create a positive experience on game day. Our officials do more than just enforce rules—they lead by example, mentor young athletes, and contribute to an unforgettable experience for players and families alike.

Key Responsibilities

Officiate games f airly and consistently, while ensuring the safety of all participants.

Maintain a fun and supportive game environment that emphasizes sportsmanship over competition.

Engage with players and coaches

in a positive, encouraging manner—offering age-appropriate guidance and correcting behavior with professionalism and care.

Serve as a

mentor and role model , especially for first-time players.

Clearly explain rules to players and coaches to promote understanding and development.

Collaborate

with site leadership and other officials to ensure smooth operations throughout game day.

Assist with

court setup, maintenance, and teardown , ensuring facilities are ready and clean.

Represent i9 Sports in a professional and friendly manner with families and venue staff.

Physical Expectations

Must be able to lift and carry up to

35 lbs

(e.g., equipment bins, field markers).

Able to stand, walk, run, and move around the field or court for

extended periods .

Requirments

Prior experience officiating or playing youth sports (any sport) is strongly preferred.

Solid knowledge of the rules and flow of at least one major youth sport (training provided for others).

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Positive attitude and a passion for working with kids and families.

Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Available to work

weekends

throughout the season (typically 4–8 hours on Saturdays and/or Sundays).

Officiating certification is a plus, but not required.
