Position Description
Dominican High School is seeking a student‑centered, collaborative educator to join our Social Studies Department as a History teacher. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to work in a close‑knit, mission‑driven school community that values strong relationships, academic excellence, and the development of the whole person.
About Our School Dominican High School is a Catholic, college‑preparatory, co‑educational high school serving approximately 320 students. Our small class sizes allow teachers to know students well and support them both academically and personally. Our Mission Founded by the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation and sponsored by Dominican Veritas Ministries, Dominican High School is grounded in the core Christian values of truth, compassion, partnership, community, and justice. These values guide all aspects of teaching and learning and shape the experiences we provide our students.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Studies/History from an accredited institution (preferred)
Wisconsin DPI certification in Social Studies/History, or eligibility to become certified – Dominican High School will support qualified candidates through the certification process
Requirements & Preferred Experience
Experience teaching Social Studies at the high school level is preferred, though candidates with K‑8 experience or non‑education/alternative backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
Commitment to collaboration and professional growth
Ability to support and advance the mission and values of Catholic education
Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience: Zero
Degree: Bachelor’s required
License: Social Studies/History (preferred)
Compensation Placement will be based on qualifications, experience, and available time. Details of the salary and benefits package will be shared during the interview process.
