What You'll Do

As a Transmission Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. You'll work to identify any automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. You will test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. In your role as a GM Transmission Technician, you'll collaborate with the Service Advisor to provide the most accurate information for the customer.

Transmission Technician Qualifications

Specific GM transmission technician experience

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

ASE certification required with A-level qualifications

Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

Teamwork mentality and ability to collaborate with others effectively

Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Technician: $25- $43 per hour

Compensation will be based on performance and experience; pay ranges may vary from displayed amounts
