Salary Range $60-$100 per hour, commensurate with experience Blue Ridge PRISM seeks a part-time Grant Writer to assist with development activities that will help expand our reach, multiply our impact, and increase support for PRISM’s work across the Commonwealth. Successful candidates will have exceptional oral and written communication skills. They will have a successful track record with securing grants for nonprofit organizations, and especially environmental organizations. The Grant Writer upholds all aspects of PRISM’s brand as the trusted, leading expert in the field of invasive plants in Virginia. They will support PRISM by providing the necessary development expertise to ensure that we achieve our Big Hairy Audacious Goal — to reverse the spread of invasive plants in Virginia. The Grant Writer must be accountable, reliable, independent, presentable, professional, and a self-starter. Job Duties

Job duties include researching grant opportunities, tracking deadlines, writing Letters of Inquiry, applying for grants, and tracking responses. Skills Required

Exceptional written communication skills Proven track record of securing nonprofit grants Attention to detail Interest in learning about Virginia native plants, and preserving Virginia’s natural heritage MS Office and Google Workspace software Work Schedule

This is a part-time position. The work will be done remotely (PRISM does not have a central office) and high-speed internet connectivity is a must. Preference will be given to Virginia residents. Additional Info
