The
Instructional Support Assistant , in coordination with Vocational staff, Behavior and Related Services Departments, provides assistance to classroom staff in programming for students. Responsibilities include: Assisting in classroom instruction with individual, small, and large groups as directed by the teacher. Providing individualized instruction and supervision for students on and off-campus. Supporting daily organizational planning with the teacher. Recording and reporting behavior data, evaluating student progress, and writing reports. Communicating with parents, staff, and other professionals as needed. Supervising students to ensure safety during bus, playground, and off-campus activities. Supervising the classroom in the absence of the teacher. Implementing behavior programs. Assisting with medication administration, data collection, and other tasks as assigned. Supporting staff with special projects such as inventories and field trips. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or related fields preferred ( not required ). Experience in a special needs school environment preferred.
