Position Summary Prepare a variety of coffee beverages. Re-sell various hot and cold beverages, including bottled and canned drinks. Sell prepared foods including pastries, oats, and breakfast sandwiches. This position requires heavy customer contact and excellent customer service skills. A positive attitude is required at all times to ensure customer return.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare hot and cold beverages

Prepare foods for sale as needed

Accurately handle cash and reconcile change due to customers

Open and/or close the coffeehouse as scheduled

Maintain cleanliness in coffeehouse and service areas at all times

Deliver quality customer service at all times

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of coffeehouse products as well as restaurant menu and general restaurant information (hours of service, specials, procedures, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED graduate preferred

3 months or more of Barista experience preferred

Ability to handle stress under pressure

Ability to provide quality customer service

Ability to learn and use technical equipment (e.g., espresso machine)

Ability to accurately exchange currency with customers

Ability to reconcile all cash and currency

Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment

Ability to learn and use company computer to input data

Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail

Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
