Collision Body Technician

As a Collision Body Technician, you’ll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Your attention to detail makes you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time, and deliver top‑notch work to delight our customers.
Responsibilities
Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately.
Communicate with Estimators and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts.
Assess vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
Perform all body repairs according to estimate.
Conduct welding, soldering, body alignment, and frame/unibody repairs.
Operate all equipment in the Collision Center safely and productively, following AutoNation’s safety standards for the use of personal protective equipment while working on the production floor.
Inspect all work completed as a quality‑control measure.
Mix all chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications.
Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations affecting Collision Center operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA guidelines.
Gain superior product knowledge to provide high‑quality repairs.
Qualifications
ICAR certification (preferred) or interest in becoming certified.
OEM certification (preferred) or interest in becoming certified.
At least two years of automotive experience.
Valid, in‑state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
Ability to operate an automobile.
