Our first store opened in Anaheim, CA in 1980. We have 40+ stores in LA, Orange, San Diego, Inland Empire. We offer a full‑service supermarket with a large meat department, bakery, tortilleria, prepared foods, and Latin American grocery goods for a Mexican homeland experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties of this position include:
Operational
Observe all store rules and company policies.
Adhere to local, state and federal health and civil code regulations; weights and measure laws.
Package, weigh and price all products in the department; follow approved procedures for weighing, wrapping, price marking and restocking cases.
Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
Keep perishable merchandise rotated in accordance with department policy and product code dates; pull all out‑of‑code merchandise following FIFO rules.
Perform any other work‑related duties as assigned.
Leadership
Greet all customers and maintain good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous service and assistance.
Wait on customers including slicing, cutting, weighing, packaging and labeling merchandise.
Safety
Use and maintain equipment in good working order; immediately advise store director or the key person in charge of any maintenance or equipment problems.
Comply with safety policies and procedures; read all Safety Committee bulletins.
REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS To perform this job successfully:
Skills Required
Ability to hear, speak and understand spoken English to respond promptly to pages and verbal customer requests, answer telephones and communicate effectively with others.
Ability to read, write and understand English with sufficient proficiency to read and understand instructions for operating electronic equipment and tools; company handbooks, policies and procedures and other written job related documents.
Be fully knowledgeable and thoroughly familiar with all cuts and types of meat products sold in the department including recommended uses or cooking methods and store/department procedures, policies and operations.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools or controls.
Vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Lift up to 70 pounds; climb ladder; sweep and mop floors; lift and carry trash containers to outside bin.
Respond quickly to fire or other emergencies and disassemble, clean and adjust meat department equipment or clear label jams.
Work in environment with fresh fruits, vegetables, latex gloves; continuous duties in refrigerated cutting rooms and storage areas; occasional duties in frozen food storage boxes at temperatures as low as 20°F below zero; wet and slippery surfaces; moderate to noisy noise.
Education/Experience
High School education preferred but not required.
Successful completion of an apprenticeship/training program or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range $18.12 to $21.00 USD
