CMG Home Loans is hiring a Production Assistant (Loan Officer Assistant) onsite in Albuquerque, NM who will provide support to a top producing Loan Officer with the loan application set up, review and loan pre-qualifications. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review daily prequalification & prospect pipelines for new applications and needed follow-up
Partner with Loan Officer to prioritize applications that need review/completion
Review all applications for completion and accuracy with each borrower directly
Ensure all BYTE screens are complete without error (to include all VA screens/net tangible etc)
Note all correspondence with the borrower in CLEAR via Scratchpad for LO review
Make appropriate product recommendations to the Loan Officer based on the borrowers application and qualification
RUN AUS (both LP & DU on all files)
Send updated Closing Costs Worksheets based on the requests/needs of borrowers
Research & Confirm guidelines for products to ensure product recommendations are appropriate based on the borrowers application information
Note the “loan story” in the BYTE Cover Letter - Submission Notes Screen
Run Fees and review LE to ensure fees look correct – request assistance from compliance/disclosure desk if necessary
Request disclosures
Request client documentation based on AUS recommendations– update application based on documentation provided and ensure qualification still stands
Order preliminary title report
Order appraisals
Review income analysis from the Loan Officer if applicable
Complete income worksheets, rental worksheets, loan beam etc. as applicable
Once a CONTRACT is received, review the contract input contract data into BYTE – ensure a FULL tri merge is pulled, update liabilities if applicable, review income and assets with the borrower and update the system as necessary. Confirm all employment information is unchanged. Remove any income and assets NOT needed for qualification purposes and run NEW AUS
Submit NEW LOAN FILE checklist to Pipeline Manager when file is ready for review
For FILES in process – handle any system updates for restructuring to include OB submissions
Submit requests for Rapid Rescores
Qualifications and Experience
2+ years of experience in mortgage industry a must.
Must be able to work onsite at our Branch in Albuquerque, NM.
Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
Familiarity with mortgage terminology.
Experience with Point software preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment.
High level of integrity and confidentiality required.
Physical and Environmental Conditions This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.
Base Compensation Information CMG pays a competitive hourly rate which ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 an hour plus a per file bonus. Factors that affect base salary may include overall mortgage experience, number of years worked in mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
