Burkwood is seeking an individual for the
Full-Time Cook
position. This individual will be primarily responsible for the preparation of food and the clean up afterwards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ability to properly prepare, serve and store food.
An understanding of the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
Ability to handle and prepare foods in accordance to the regulatory agencies.
Work under supervision on menu compliance and special diet compliance, and by direct observation of patient compliance.
Report any dietary non-compliance, concern or complaint of patients to supervisor.
Prepare foods according to standardized recipes, preparation, service methods, and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
required.
Kitchen/Cooking/Cleaning commercial experience
preferred.
Must work effectively in a team.
Must work flexible hours (to include weekends and holidays).
