Job Description The hours are Monday - Friday 11:30am - 8pm

POSITION SUMMARY This position exists to perform a variety of radiographic procedures under general supervision of departmental Manager and Radiologist to assist in a diagnosis of disease and/or injury. Performs in of the following sub-specialties; Radiology (XR) and Computerized Tomography (CT) and with additional focus on OR support.

Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures in at least two imaging modalities.

Key Responsibilities Key Responsibility 1

Executes basic clinical competence in general radiology, in all locations across all patient types; in addition, performs exams and procedures as needed in one of the following modalities: CT, MRI, Mammography, and/or Interventional Radiology in accordance to facility protocols. Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient. Administers contrast according to facility policy. Key Responsibility 2

Applies knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation/MR safety and physics, patient positioning and patient care skills. Adheres to Joint Commission, State, Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards. Key Responsibility 3

Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems. Key Responsibility 4

Ensures a safe and appropriate work environment. Maintains supplies and inventory in area. Informs appropriate colleague when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors. Documents and reports related equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy. Key Responsibility 5

Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality. Actively participates in student and employee training and educational activities.

Qualifications Associate degree, Certificate, or advanced degree in radiologic technology, or modalities of employment, from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Working competency in additional modality Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Licensed Radiographer - State of MD with CT certification Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification Minimum of 1-3 years of CT experience
