Position Overview The function of the Housekeeper (H) is to keep all areas of Ladore Complex clean and safe for guests, as well as operate efficiently as a member of the guest services team.

Responsibilities

Ensure all areas are cared for and inspected according to standards

Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping and polishing

Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies

Observe all safety procedures for chemical and equipment

Operate Ladore cleaning equipment safely and properly

Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, and disturbances

Deal with complaints/requests with professionalism and patience

Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate

Support mission of Ladore Camp and Conference Center and The Salvation Army

Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Experience preferred

Willingness to learn

Able to lift at least 50 pounds

Ability to be on one’s feet for long periods of time

Able to bend, reach, push, and pull

General Housekeeping experience

Valid PA driver’s license

As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.

Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.

Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
