Strength & Conditioning Coach – T3i, Inc. This role is open for Strength & Conditioning Coaches who will be assigned to the Special Warfare Training Wing at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX.

Job Summary T3I Coaches assigned to the Special Warfare Training Wing at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, provide training and development of the Air Force’s (AF) future SW Airman, who are organized, trained, and equipped to deliver distinctive expertise in combat and other high‑risk environments. As the only AF capability specifically designed to primarily operate as surface combatants, SW Airman directly assist, control, enable, and execute air and space‑power capabilities to conduct: Joint Fires Integration, Special Operations, Personnel Recovery, Tactical Airlift Operations, and Special Reconnaissance.

Selected coaches are assigned to a team that is responsible for preparing SW candidates for physical and mental success during their 12‑to‑24‑month training pipelines. Daily activities include instruction, demonstration, and application of land and water based physical training principles and techniques, with emphasis on body‑weight exercises, functional movements, performance under load, running, rucking, and water confidence. Coaches have daily contact and interaction with SW candidates, military cadre and senior leaders, as well as other staff members, contractors and vendors. Coaches must adhere to the highest standards of conduct throughout the course of their daily activities and apply appropriate relationships with candidates, customers, and teammates.

Responsibilities

Demonstrated knowledge and application of sound training skills, relevant to fitness and athletics

Develop, implement, and teach foundational running principal fitness skills to students with varying ability levels

Build rapport with students and motivate them to achieve higher levels of performance

Strong communication (written and oral), leadership and organizational skills

Effectively teach various blocks of instruction related to health, fitness, and physical performance

Pass fitness test consisting of Pull‑ups, Sit‑ups, Push‑ups, 1.5‑mile run, 500‑meter swim

Maintain a high degree of personal fitness and lead by example

Be able to demonstrate all physical exercises and events required of the students

Employ relevant technologies to support training and improve students’ performance

Evaluate and provide written professional assessments on emerging technologies

Successfully complete the High‑Risk Training Course taught by military instructors

Study, follow and apply designated AF training and safety directives and guidelines

Effectively work with frequent changes, interruptions and varying environmental conditions

Required Skills and Experience

B.S. or B.A. degree in Health and Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification

Have 3 years equivalent experience working as a Coach or physical fitness leader in a similar field and environment

Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) designation

Certified CPR, AED, and First Aid

Proficient understanding and working knowledge of computers, e‑mail, voicemail, and cell phone texts to perform duties

Proficient understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience developing and conducting athletic programs at high school or above levels

Experience coaching athletes at the club, collegiate, Olympic or professional level

Highly successful athlete at the club, collegiate, Olympic or professional level

Required Background Check National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)

T3i Drug Free Workplace Statement As a Federal Government Contractor, T3i is required to strictly adhere to federally mandated drug‑free workplace standards. To ensure compliance with this requirement, T3i conducts pre‑employment drug screening for all new hire personnel (full time, part time, and independent contractor) and annual random drug screening for all current T3i personnel. All drug screening includes testing for the following drugs, at a minimum: Marijuana (CBD, hemp oil, and other cannabidiol use may result in a positive result), cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, 6‑monoacetylmorphine, and PCP. Personnel who cannot pass drug screening are not eligible for employment with T3i.
