Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is a 120 bed capacity behavioral health facility that provides psychiatric services. It specializes in treatment for adults, children and adolescents, offering both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services. Located in Flowood, MS, in Rankin County with close proximity to Hinds and Madison Counties, its outpatient services are within driving distance to many surrounding areas. Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and talented Driver for varied PRN shifts. The Driver provides patient transportation to and from the facility, ensuring continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling while maintaining safety. The Driver works closely with clinical staff, participates in treatment groups, ensures program schedules are followed, and assists in psychiatric and physical care, maintaining therapeutic engagement and appropriate boundaries with patients.
Skills and Competencies
Previous experience in a mental health hospital setting is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient interaction.
Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with others.
Ability to exhibit empathy, respect, and compassion in caring for patients.
Qualifications Minimum:
High school graduate or equivalent. Maintain a valid class‑specific driver’s license applicable to transporting patients. Driving record must meet or exceed facility standards. BLS and De‑escalation Certification required.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in a mental‑health related field and two years of experience in the mental‑health field (psychiatric/inpatient or outpatient setting).
