Reliability Tech D Trainee – 1st Shift
Join Shaw Industries as a Reliability Technician Trainee working the 1st shift.
Position Overview The role involves performing basic mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on power transmission equipment, bearings, pumps, and seals. Trainees will also learn safety protocols, use procurement and TPM systems, and support one of our Heatset or Twisting departments.
Responsibilities
Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment.
Make mechanical repairs using knowledge and experience of mechanical systems and practices.
Make necessary adjustments to equipment.
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of items such as mechanical power transmission equipment, bearings, pumps, packing and mechanical seals.
Learn all hazards and safety precautions of all procedures.
Follow oral and written work instructions.
Report to management any quality and safety problems and potential production problems that are encountered while performing the job.
Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others.
Perform all related job duties and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor or department manager.
Learn and use Ariba procurement system to order parts and supplies related to job.
Learn and use EZ Entry/TPM system to set up and receive work instructions.
Positions Available Heatset and Twisting departments.
Work Shift 8‑hour non‑rotating shift. Hours fall to in‑punch day, observed calendar, shift starts AM.
