Child Care Assistant (Quad Cities) at Western Illinois University.
This position supports child development staff in planning and implementing learning experiences for preschool children.
Base pay range $15.75/hr – $17.32/hr
Responsibilities
Assists in the supervision of children during play to safeguard their health and safety.
Assists in providing for the physical needs of children (e.g., feeding, dressing, sleeping, washing) and other activities.
Supports child development staff in implementing learning experiences, preparing materials, and labeling artwork.
Provides information about children and their progress to child development staff for inclusion in reports and records.
Assists in care and maintenance of classroom, equipment, supplies, and play yard.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Possession of credentials required by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for employment as a Child Care Assistant (407.100 & 407.150).
