Courier/DOT-3 Driver / Operator – Federal Express Corporation
Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Position: Part‑time, Friday, PM shift, Monday‑Friday. Working hours: 2:45 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. (14:45 p.m. – 20:45 p.m.)
Minimum Education High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations; medical exam required.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and operate safely.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials.
Preferred Qualifications Must be 21 or older and have had a valid driver’s license for the previous two‑year period.
Pay Transparency Starting rate: $21.05 / hour. Hourly range: $21.05 – $30.65.
Additional Details Part‑time PM shift (Mon‑Fri) between 2:45 pm and 8:45 pm.
