Job Overview Operates a Class A Hazmat vehicle, transporting individual gas cylinders to other Airgas locations. Duties include safety loading/unloading, maintaining accurate load manifests, fostering customer relationships, and providing cost and delivery information.
Key Responsibilities
Proficiency in English language for communication, signs, and documentation.
Strong verbal skills, self‑motivation, attention to detail, and goal‑oriented.
Maintain accurate load manifests and documents.
Foster strong customer relationships, provide cost and delivery information.
Monitor and adjust cylinder levels to prevent emergencies.
Analytical problem‑solving for customer inquiries.
Safely load/unload, deliver, and retrieve cylinders and hard goods.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Class A CDL.
Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 60 days of being hired.
Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
Ability to maintain a drug‑free workplace.
Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Forklift Experience.
Touch freight delivery experience.
