This is a part‑time role that is 5–15 hours per week for licensed CPAs in Texas that reside in Austin.
Essential Functions
Obtain an understanding of the work to be performed and the purpose of the work
Perform substantive and analytical auditing procedures in assigned areas
Prepare working papers which adequately document the tests performed and procedures followed to substantiate conclusions reached
Be alert to the proper and consistent application of accounting principles in performing audit procedures
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes
Identify and document control deficiencies or other matters that warrant the attention of management
Perform agreed‑upon procedure engagements on site in Austin, Texas
Qualifications
Holds a CPA License in the State of Texas
Able to pass a thorough background check
Ability to commit to a varying schedule of 5–15 hours/week
Ability to perform work on‑site at client locations in downtown Austin based on an assigned monthly schedule that includes shifts of Monday through Saturday with varying times between 8am and midnight (hourly rates include significant shift premiums for evenings and weekends)
Ability to maintain the highest degree of ethics and integrity; willing to speak up when issues are noted
Superior oral/written communication skills
Well‑developed decision‑making skills and initiative to make those decisions
Ability to conduct research and analyze information collected
Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and remain organized
