The Housekeeping Team at The Cliffs Hotel & Spa is continuously growing and expanding! We are seeking a efficient, optimistic, and motivated full-time Laundry Attendant who can create a sense of luxury while ensuring laundry is being cleaned. We look forward to connecting with you!

Position Summary Performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of hotel linen including but not limited to washing, drying, folding and storing all linen. The Laundry Attendant will complete daily assignments in a timely manner and deliver guest services standards while upholding The Cliffs' Mission, Values, and Forbes Standards.

Essential Job Functions

Operate washers and dryers for cleaning linens, towels, and other laundry

Inspect all laundered items for cleanliness and serviceability

Report any unusable items to management for repair or replacement

Fold and store clean laundry properly on designated shelves

Assist with conducting monthly inventory counts as scheduled by management

Tracks and issues clean linen to other Attendants or Inspectors as directed by management

Reports any mechanical issues in Laundry to Engineering and the manager on duty

Uses all chemicals in accordance with guidance on the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and with the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Communicates graciously and professionally with guests, management, and coworkers

Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled

Complies fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming, and safety measures

Takes precautions to prevent injury, following all safety trainings and company protocols

Understands that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to other shifts.

Assists in other areas of the department as needed.

Completes all other tasks as assigned by manager

Additional Job Duties

Education, Experience, Skills

High school diploma

Working knowledge of guest services in a luxury hotel setting.

Solid grasp of English language.

Ability to work with people effectively in a team setting

Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations.

Physical Requirements

Requires grasping, twisting, writing, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, visual acuity

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Ability to stand continuously during shift (up to 8 hours)

Ability to work in stressful situations
