1638446 Wolviston Management Services are delighted to be supporting a well‑established, family‑run gastro pub in Teesside in the appointment of a talented Chef to join their close‑knit kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate food professional who enjoys working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and takes pride in delivering high‑quality, seasonal dishes in a warm, welcoming environment. You’ll be joining a business with strong local roots, a loyal customer base and a genuine family ethos. The Role
As Chef, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and service. You’ll be involved across all areas of kitchen operations, from preparation through to service, contributing ideas to menu development and helping maintain a positive, well‑organised working environment. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard using fresh ingredients Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and service delivery Assist with menu development, specials and seasonal offerings Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness Ensure correct stock rotation, portion control and waste management Work collaboratively with the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service Uphold the pub’s reputation for quality, consistency and customer experience Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Chef or Cook within a pub, gastro pub or restaurant environment A genuine passion for food and high‑quality produce Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards Ability to work well under pressure in a busy service environment A positive, team‑focused attitude with a strong work ethic Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred) What’s on Offer
