Duties and Responsibilities Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high‑quality culinary experiences across all outlets.
Execute all aspects of Mise en Place (MEP), ensuring readiness and consistency for service across multiple outlets.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and visual appeal.
Uphold rigorous hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with HACCP and company policies.
Ensure all kitchen areas, tools, and machinery are clean, organised, and well‑maintained to support efficient operations.
Support the implementation of food policies, including allergen management and dietary requirements, ensuring compliance and guest safety.
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to minimise waste and maintain freshness.
Collaborate with the kitchen team, contributing to a positive and productive environment.
Engage in continuous professional development, attending training sessions and seeking opportunities to expand culinary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications Proven experience in hotel culinary operations, with the ability to manage and support a section of the kitchen effectively.
Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques and trends, and a strong commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively with chefs, kitchen porters, and front‑of‑house staff.
Capable of working under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, especially during peak service hours.
Experience Preferred Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment or fine dining restaurant.
Proven work experience or exposure to London‑based hotels, with knowledge of UK hospitality standards, local compliance (e.g., Food Hygiene Rating Scheme), and service expectations for international guests.
Level 2 or higher culinary certification, with strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
