Job Description Aims Community College supports an environment that embraces its Mission, Vision, and Values, and encourages innovation and care. The College for Kids (C4K) program offers an enrichment summer program for students ages 9‑12 across multiple campuses: Fort Lupton, Windsor, Greeley, and the Loveland sessions at Peakview Academy.

Classes run Monday‑Thursday. Morning courses: 9:00 am–11:30 am; afternoon courses: 1:00 pm–3:30 pm. Instructors teach the same class both morning and afternoon each day, working from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (modified schedule on Mondays and Thursdays for setup and breakdown). Candidates selected must be available to teach all four weeks, pending facility availability at each location.

Key Responsibilities The C4K Instructor is responsible for creating and delivering creative, engaging, and organized instruction to C4K students. The curriculum should include best teaching practices and align with college and career readiness, career opportunities, personal development, high school preparedness, and/or social and emotional learning. Instructors will use appropriate college resources, materials, facilities, and educational technologies, while following C4K and Aims Community College policies and procedures.

Job Duties

Report to work punctually and adhere to the agreed‑upon work schedule and timeliness of work hour entries.

Communicate with the C4K Coordinator and accompanying staff efficiently via verbal communication, phone, or email.

Ensure student safety throughout the program, including completion of Mandatory Reporter Training and other best practices.

Create and deliver daily lesson plans with supply needs to the C4K Coordinator prior to the start of the program.

Demonstrate sensitivity toward and respect for the diverse backgrounds represented in the program.

Collaborate with colleagues to select appropriate textbooks and materials in accordance with program decisions.

Maintain student attendance records and rosters.

Participate in mandatory training and in‑person orientation for College for Kids.

Abide by the mission of Aims Community College: provide knowledge, skills, and support services to advance the quality of life, economic vitality, and overall success of the diverse communities served.

Minimum Qualifications

Classroom teaching experience.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Experience using computerized systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.
