At Lutheran Community at Telford, a Grace Inspired Living community in Telford, PA, we're looking for a part‑time dedicated Server/Prep Cook to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in preparing and serving high‑quality meals to our residents, making their dining experiences memorable.

Position Summary This position is responsible for serving a variety of food items to employees, residents and guests. Perform duties in compliance with established company policies and procedures and in a professional manner. Set up and breakdown of area.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Follow directions and systems as indicated.
Prepare serving area for meals and special functions.
Perform duties in a team environment.
Ensure area is well stocked with appropriate items utilizing the Raw List Form.
Follow proper label and dating procedures. Making sure all food/beverage items are properly labeled and within date on a daily basis.
Record food, dish machine and refrigeration temperatures following department procedures.
Safely operate all job‑related food service equipment.
Greet and serve food to employees, residents and guests following proper serving portions and techniques.
Interact positively and respectfully with customers.
Clean and maintain area during and after the meal service.
Maintain proper serving temperature of food items and serving times.
Knowledge of food handling and infection control, including HACCP standards. Follow proper HACCP procedures.
Knowledge of various dietary restrictions. Follow dietary needs of each resident as indicated on their personal dietary meal ticket.
Prepare and maintain menu board.
Complete any food preparation tasks, as directed by the Sous Chef.
Attend scheduled meetings and in‑services.
Assist customers as requested.
Adhere to department standard of dress.
Demonstrate effective customer service skills in accordance with departmental standards.
Perform other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications Education: High School diploma or GED.
Preferred: 2 years combination of food preparation and serving experience in a continuing care retirement community.
Understanding of dietary restrictions (thickened liquids, therapeutic diets, etc.).
Minimum Experience Experience: 1 year food preparation and/or food serving experience in a continuing care retirement community.
