Job Brief
As a substitute teacher, you will support classrooms on a day-to-day basis when the regular teacher is unavailable. You’ll provide continuity for students, follow lesson plans, and help maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Your flexibility and professionalism ensure that students continue to receive quality instruction even in the teacher’s absence.
Responsibilities Cover classrooms when the regular teacher is unavailable
Follow and implement provided lesson plans
Manage the classroom environment and maintain student engagement from bell to bell
Provide support to other classrooms or staff as needed
Skills Required / Qualifications Must be at least 22 years old
Associate degree or at least 60 completed college credits
Bachelor’s degree or a teaching certification (preferred but not required)
Previous experience as a substitute teacher (preferred but not required)
Must successfully complete a criminal background check and fingerprinting
Must maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times
Must be willing and able to work with students in a classroom setting
