We’re looking for a detail-oriented, hands‑on

Wet Painter

to join our fast‑paced manufacturing team. You’ll use a hand‑held spray gun to apply high‑quality coatings to metal parts and assemblies on the conveyor line—ensuring every piece meets our customers’ exact standards.

Position Details:

Shift: 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday; 5:00am - 3:00pm

Pay Range: Up to $29.00/hour (based upon experience, skill set, and shift)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Spray paints parts with finishes such as enamels, epoxies and urethane enamels

Review product entering booth for coatability and that masking has been completed.

Responsible for mixing and cleanup of paint

Gather information from line coordinator regarding application of each paint (milage requirement, etc)

Responsible for maintenance of equipment and paint area

Ensure that all products going out the door have a top quality paint finish

Must be able to set‑up, clean and adjust equipment as well as mix paint

Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems at paint line

Maintain production rates and quality standards

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Job Qualifications:

Must have high school or equivalent

Minimum 1 year wet paint experience

Attention to detail so that all surfaces are covered, there are no paint runs, etc.

Good math skills needed

Safe and efficient handling of materials is imperative

Experience with a high volume low pressure pot, airless spray guns, enamels, epoxies and urethanes

Must have and wear protective gear designated for the Department and job.

Must be able to stand for all or most of a regular work shift as well as reach, bend and stoop.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Must have visual acuity; ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training:

Minimum 2 years of experience and/or training in production painter position.

Must possess knowledge of powder and wet coating applications and techniques.

Must possess mechanical aptitude.

Knowledge of reading, writing, and understanding work instructions, work orders, or customer specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge/experience with wet painting applications and techniques

Knowledge/experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of paint guns/equipment

Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls.

Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move between work areas.

Regularly required to talk and listen, as well as climb, balance, and reach above shoulder level.

Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

The employee must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Working Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where loud noise exposure is regular and frequent. Additionally, there is a regular exposure on the production floor to dust, metal debris, changes in ambient temperature, and requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
