Highland’s Bar & Grill is seeking a driven, hands‑on
Kitchen Manager
to lead our back‑of‑house operations and help deliver exceptional dining experiences to every guest who walks through our doors. This is a leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality food, strong teams, and well‑run kitchens.
As
Kitchen Manager , you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations—from staff leadership and food quality to inventory, safety, and cost control. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive kitchen culture, maintaining high standards, and ensuring smooth, efficient service every day.
Compensation and Benefits : $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Full‑time team members receive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, 401(k), STD, LTD, paid holiday, vacation, personal & sick time, lean management training, and numerous other employee discount benefits through our HR provider LL Roberts.
What You’ll Be Doing
Great guest service starts in the kitchen. You’ll ensure the team is trained, prepared, and aligned with service expectations by leading:
Daily lineups and pre‑shift meetings
Ongoing service and performance evaluations
Employee coaching, discussions, and development
Coordination of timely and accurate food production
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
Ensure all food meets recipe standards, quality expectations, and presentation guidelines
Track inventory, place orders, and minimize waste
Collaborate on menu creation, pricing, and recipe adjustments
Enforce strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
Monitor food costs, labor costs, and overall kitchen budget
Manage workflow to ensure efficient production and timely service
Maintain compliance with all local health and safety regulations
