Location: 435 Hamilton Blvd. South Boston, VA
The Transportation Assistant is responsible for providing transportation services, offering support to the Program Director when necessary, and executing daily resident activities. The Transportation Assistant performs a specific set of tasks to fulfill the mission of the Resident Program Department.
Qualifications
High school degree required; additional college experience preferred
Strongly preferred experience in a senior living environment and in activities (minimum two years)
Proficient in computer skills and possesses general healthcare knowledge
Must have a clear and insurable driving record, current driver's license, and willingness to drive a passenger van
Areas of Primary Responsibility
Assist the Resident Program team in planning, developing, and organizing various exercises, social, recreational, and educational events
Conduct transportation, including medical transportation, for residents
Stay informed about communities, services, and events in the area and integrate them into the activity schedule as appropriate
