As a Breakfast Grill Cook, you will help prepare and present breakfast items while interacting with guests and supporting smooth, efficient breakfast operations.

Role Summary: The Breakfast Grill Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and replenishing breakfast food items in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. This role supports both back-of-house and front-of-house breakfast operations, ensuring guests receive fresh, well-presented food and friendly service throughout breakfast service.

The Breakfast Grill Cook works closely with the Complimentary Breakfast team to maintain food quality, station organization, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking

Prepare breakfast food items according to designated recipes and quality standards

Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee, juices, cereals, breads, and hot breakfast items

Replenish food on cold lines, hot lines, and buffet stations as needed

Visually inspect all food before service to ensure proper quality, temperature, and presentation

Ensure thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and food products

Guest Interaction & Service

Prepare and manage guest orders in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner

Engage with guests at the breakfast station to assess satisfaction and respond to questions

Describe menu items, buffet offerings, and daily specials as needed

Create a welcoming, interactive breakfast experience while maintaining service flow

Station Setup & Maintenance

Stock and maintain designated food stations, including coffee, juice, milk machines, and dry goods

Set up and maintain chafing dishes, steam tables, heat lamps, signage, and self‑serve utensils

Ensure china, glassware, silverware, and service supplies are stocked and organized

Cleanliness, Safety & Sanitation

Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and floors throughout service

Follow all food handling, storage, and sanitation standards in accordance with federal, state, local, and company regulations

Clean and drain machines and equipment at the end of service

Remove trash, clean spills promptly, and maintain a safe work environment

Follow all hotel safety and security standards

Bus, clear, and clean tables as needed during breakfast service

Wash utensils, china, and equipment as assigned

Return reusable food items to proper storage following service

Assist Complimentary Breakfast Cooks as needed

Prepare supply lists for the next day and complete inventory reports

Prepare requisitions for food and supplies as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous cooking or food service experience preferred

Knowledge of basic food preparation and food safety practices

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, bend, and reach as required

Flexible availability with early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Experience

Experience in a hotel, breakfast, or buffet‑style food service environment

Experience working grill or action stations

Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and inventory practices
